Phase I.A
Geometry of the Base and Structure
Learning the basic static stances and the first half of Form I (Siu Nim Tau). Focus on spinal alignment, lowering the center of gravity, and correct hand placement relative to the body's centerline.
Phase I.B
Introduction to Contact
Learning the remaining part of Form I and basic linear movements (forward-backward). Biomechanical focus shifts to maintaining structural stability of the spine during positional changes in space.
Dynamics and Movement

Phase II.A
Coordination in Motion
Practicing Form I and learning the first half of Form II (Chum Kiu). Development of three-dimensional movement and introduction of low kicks while maintaining balance on one leg.
Phase II.B
Tactile Adaptation and Distance Change
Completion of Form II and integration of complex diagonal movement. Biomechanical focus on generating force from hip rotation and proper weight transfer. Mastery of combined hand and foot strike technique.
Presence and Combat Interaction
Official black shirt · 3 years total
Phase III.A
Explosive Force and Open Contact
Practicing Forms I, II and learning Form III (Biu Tze). Focus on developing extreme joint fluidity, using centrifugal force, and generating fast, explosive force from a relaxed tendon state (fajing).
Phase III.B
Combat Integration and Stress Management
Completion of Form III and introduction of guided, controlled sparring at all distances (close, medium, far). Biomechanical focus on maximum economy of movement in conditions of combat chaos.
Integration and Vitality

Phase IV.A
Mechanical Refinement on the Wooden Dummy
Work on the wooden dummy (Muk Yan Jong). The wooden dummy is used as a rigid geometric mirror for radically refining precision, movement angles, explosive short power, and tissue conditioning.
Phase IV.B
Structural Extension Through Weapons Work
Learning basic and advanced principles of working with the system's traditional weapons (long staff/spear, projectiles). The weapon is used as an extension of the body and nervous system, radically increasing demands for precision and speed of movement.
Phase IV.C
Inner Vitality and New Beginning
Baat Cham Dao (butterfly swords). Mastery of traditional energy breathing exercises (Chi Kung) and traditional massage techniques for self-help and recovery. Focus on activating regenerative processes, relaxing deep fascia, and preserving the longevity of joints and tendons.

What Practitioners Say
I recommend it to anyone who wants to develop body, mind and spirit.
My only complaint is that in our last training session we only did 150 push-ups instead of 200...
We are all here to support one another. This is the best martial arts club I have found — with a very approachable teacher.
